A tough but nice week!
As mentioned in the last training review, I will write a weekly review from this week onwards. Let me know if you would like me to focus more on certain parts; technique, opinion, etc.
Monday ~~leglocks ~~ and fundamental training Unfortunately I misjudged the start time of the leglocks. I arrived and noticed that people were dressing and some were still on the mat, obvisouly doing leglock like stuff. Well, missed it.. Fundamentals was nice, we did some sparring at the end (where someone hurted me without noticing - also not due to submission or whatever. Maybe I hurt myself even. He was in my halfguard and it felt that he reaped my calve with his shin. Also along the way I hurted my neck.
Tuesday: Batman day. Unfortunately I had to skip the training on Tuesday and Wednesday morning. I wanted to go badly, but happily decided to take some days off. I am just a regular guy with some physique. Not a top sporter hehe.
Thursday - Advanced Technique and I will definitely not go sparring.. uhuuu Well that worked out nicely.. advanced technique. We practiced sprawling (counter against single/double leg takedowns/shoots). Important: chest up and straight, toes not on the mat, better with knees on the mat. Sprawl as much vertically down as possible. From thereon we practiced 3 different ways to move to the side where the hips are pinned. This position has some control, but should not be held too long, offensive progression is necessary to keep the bottom guy in defense. And than sparring came.. well you guessed correctly, I stayed. It was intense, non-stop position sparring, and lastly a game where 2 people choose (1) a submission (2) round time. If the submission was not reached - > 10 pushups. It was an intense training but good. I got bruised up, let's see tomorrow.
